The Glynn County Affiliate held its 5th Annual Glynn Young Lawyers Division Spring Classic, a golf tournament benefitting the Davis Love Foundation and CASA Glynn, Inc. (our local Georgia CASA affiliate program). The tournament took place on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at the Sea Palms Resort & Conference Center on St. Simons Island, GA. Last year’s tournament raised over $2,000.00 and it was our goal to surpass that amount this year.
The tournament was a 4-person shotgun scramble. The entry fee was $220 per team if they registered by April 16th, or $260 per team if they registered after April 16th. Participants enjoyed the after party reception where prizes were awarded. This year’s first place team received 8 tickets to The RSM Classic, an Official PGA TOUR Event!
In addition to planning the tournament, the Glynn Affiliate recently hosted a meet and greet with Heather Riggs, candidate for State YLD Secretary, at Gnat’s Landing on St. Simons Island, Georgia. It was a treat to meet Heather and to hear about her thoughts on the future of the State YLD.
