The Savannah YLD hosted its annual and much-anticipated Haunted Trolley Tour + Costume Party on October 26. Participants learned more fiction than truth about Savannah’s haunted homes while enjoying a good time with colleagues. The Savannah YLD is grateful to the generous sponsorship of Gilbert & Jones to make this favored event possible.
On Tuesday, November 14, the Savannah YLD, in conjunction with the Savannah Bar Association, hosted a swearing-in ceremony for new members of the Georgia Bar. Savannah Bar President Maggie Puccini, YLD President Philip Thompson, and YLD Membership Chair Sam Mikell presented the new members to the court. Per tradition, donuts and coffee were provided for the new members in celebration of their achievements.
On Friday, November 17, members of the YLD Executive Board proudly presented a check to Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) in the amount of $1,000, representing funds raised by the YLD in support of GLSP’s Justice Campaign.
Finally, the Savannah YLD, with the generous sponsorship of Roden + Love, LLC, will host its annual Christmas Party on December 16. Members of the various Young Lawyers Divisions near the Savannah or coastal Georgia area are welcome and encouraged to join in the festivities.
